Where could you travel with 100000 Qantas points?

Updated: Jan 2

One of the most common signup bonuses you will receive with most premium credit cards that offer Qantas points is around 100000 Qantas points.

So how far will 100000 points get you? More importantly, where can you travel with these points?

Many people ask me how many Qantas points do I need to travel to Bali or Los Angeles. This post will answer all these questions.

I have been traveling with my family for the last couple of years for nearly free. I have done this by using the Qantas points I have earned through the credit card signup bonuses.

So for those who are eager to travel as soon as those Qantas points hit your account and don't want to accumulate, here is a list of where you can travel and the best use of your 100000 Qantas points.

List of the most popular holiday locations to fly

Just to keep things standardized, I am comparing all flights, assuming the departure city is Melbourne, as this is the city where I live.

Most classic reward flights will not be much different if flying out of any other major cities in Australia. This helps give you a rough idea of the points needed to fly to different destinations and what your points can be worth in terms of flights and miles.

Business class can also be found with many of these flights and will be the best use of your points, however, taxes can get quite expensive. Although, who would say no to business class, especially on a long-haul flight for the right price?

Listed below are some of the most popular destinations in order of price which you can fly to for under 100000 points. First domestic locations and then international.

Booking a flight using Qantas points will save you upto 50%

100000 Qanats points can get you to a whole lot of holiday destinations. With some destinations, you can even afford to take your partner with you and still come in under the 100000 point threshold.

You may even be lucky enough to snag a business class flight and enjoy your trip in luxury.

If you are getting really technical, you can also see that using classic reward flights will save you about half the money it would cost to pay for a red edeal flight.

This is assuming 1 point is worth 1 cent which is the average.

If you are interested in using your points to stay in a hotel at your holiday destination, hotels can also be purchased with points.

If you would like to budget your holidays based purely on your Qantas points available, you can fly and stay at many of these locations all for under 100000 Qantas points.

This means that only one credit card signup bonus can get you an almost free holiday with you and your partner.
